After cutting 2" yellow wire on inside, back of front panel, a reset of
the radio is accomplished by holding 'F' & 'VFO' key. This allows
extended frequency range of: 130.00 - 170.00 MHZ. Notice there is
additional components that can be added to the P.C. Board. This radio
is intended to be dual band or tri-band. By pushing the f button 3
times and then the vfo key once, allows 3 bands to be heard by
additional pushing of the  'F' & 'VFO' keys to get:   130.00 - 170 mhz,
340.00 - 380.00 mhz and 870.00 - 890 mhz. I'll bet addition of the
missing parts would create even more capabilities.
